Gafas de sol Moncler

Collection: Moncler sunglasses

Moncler was born in the French Alps in 1952 making sleeping bags and down jackets for high-altitude mountaineering expeditions. Seven decades later, that heritage of real performance in extreme conditions remains the engine behind everything the brand produces, including its Moncler sunglasses. The sun collections are structured around three perfectly distinct worlds: Sport, for those who demand technical protection and performance on the slopes and in the city alike; Duvet, the brand's most singular proposition, with quilted-effect frames made using an exclusive thermoforming technique that reproduces the texture of the iconic down jacket in ultra-lightweight, high-gloss acetate; and Timeless, the classic styles that interpret the true essence of the brand beyond seasonal trends. The tricolour metal logo, rubber temple tips and coloured nose pads complete an unmistakable visual signature of Moncler Lunettes.

From the Alps to the Asphalt: Moncler Sunglasses

What defines the brand and why choose it

Some luxury brands tell a story about the mountains. Moncler is that story. Founded in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont in the French Alps by René Ramillon and André Vincent, the company began by making tents, sleeping bags and padded jackets for those who climbed peaks where cold could kill. It was not fashion: it was survival engineering. The goose down with which they filled their garments became the raw material for what would later become one of the most recognisable icons of global luxury.

The Moncler down jacket equipped the French Olympic skiing team at the 1968 Grenoble Games, and from that point the combination of extreme performance and unmistakable visual presence became embedded in the collective imagination of luxury. Today, Moncler is one of the most valuable luxury fashion brands in the world, present in more than 60 countries. In eyewear, that same DNA translates into a collection that is technically demanding, visually powerful and coherent with what the brand represents.

Moncler Lunettes is manufactured by Luxottica, the world's largest optical group, which guarantees that production standards are the most exacting in the industry. All Moncler sunglasses carry 100% UV protection across every variant.

Styles and uses: the three Moncler worlds

The Moncler sun collection is organised around three clusters — three distinct ways of understanding the relationship between performance and aesthetics.

Sport is the cluster most closely connected to the brand's original DNA: sport shields and wraps such as the ML0147 — inspired by the world of scuba diving, with an injection-moulded structure of high impact resistance — and the ML0148— unisex, with logomania print temples and coloured rubber nose pads that adapt perfectly to any facial morphology. These are glasses designed for real conditions of intense light, snow glare and wind, but which function equally well in urban environments.

Duvet is the jewel of the Moncler collection, without parallel in any other brand in the segment. Moncler transferred the quilted texture of its most iconic garment to the sunglass frame using an exclusive thermoforming technique. The result is a surface that is more rounded, shinier and surprisingly lighter. The ML0139 — with its feminine soft acetate silhouette that directly evokes the quilting — and the ML0141 — large-format with ultra-flat profiles — are two emblematic references.

Timeless is the most refined pole of the collection. The ML0086 — unisex 1980s design, ultra-flat profiles, extremely lightweight — and the Kontour ML0223 — in dark havana with green polarised lenses, one of the most internationally requested — demonstrate that Moncler can produce a classic with the same conviction with which it produces technical innovation.

Practical details: materials, lenses and finishes

Materials cover the full spectrum: cellulose acetate in the Duvet cluster — processed via thermoforming in the quilted-effect models —, high-precision metal in Timeless models, and high impact-resistant injection materials in Sport models.

Lenses are available in solid, gradient, mirror and polarised treatments. Polarised versions — especially relevant in the Sport cluster for snow or water use — eliminate reflections on horizontal surfaces. 100% UV protection with CE certification across all variants.

Unmistakable Moncler details: tricolour metal logo, rubber temple tips, coloured rubber nose pads and performance rotating hinges. The 2025-26 palette runs from matte and glossy black to dark havana, deep blue with grey gradient, olive green and earth tones.
